Artist's Statement:  An instinctive drive leads us to the awe, beauty, and peace of mind that nature offers to all of us—the tranquility of a hidden waterfall, the beauty of a diverse array of plant life as natural light filters through a forest canopy, or the grace & beauty of Earth's amazing animals as they go about their daily lives. Photography allows me the opportunity to capture and preserve a myriad of these inspiring images.

About the Artist:  Born in Cincinnati and always a Greater Cincinnati resident, I now live in nearby Amelia, Ohio, and I am a member of the Anderson Township fire and rescue team.  Formally trained in photography in the mid-1970's by Kazik Pazowski, a prominent Cincinnati photographer and teacher (late), I’ve been shooting local and international scapes and nature scenes for over thirty years. Many photographers continue to influence my work, among which, Galen Rowell and Ansel Adams are my favorites. As my collection shows, the Caribbean and Big Sur are among my favorite venues.

Technical Considerations:  I work with Nikon n90 cameras with a variety of lenses from 8 mm to 500 mm.  I choose 35 mm Fuji Velvia 100f film because it has a fine grain and very high color saturation that translates to outstanding prints. The paper, inks, and matting I use are all of the higest quality archival materials.  I believe that combining the above with custom framing creates an outstanding piece of work.  My greatest hope is that you will enjoy viewing my photographs as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
